Twins win is big

By winning the game in Chicago tuesday night (9-3) the Twins have essentially assured themselves of winng the Central Division. Even if they lose the final two games, they will come out of Chicago with a 5 game lead.

I’ve never been a big Jesse Crain fan, but he saved the Twins Tuesday night in the seventh inning — he cleaned up the mess left by Matt Guerier by striking out Paul Konerko and “Manny” with the bases loaded. At the time the Twins were nursing a one-run lead.
